When you see the message "you feel a high magic presence here", you're good to go. Murmurwoods is frustrating to TP out from before GM Water though due to an overabundance of Basilisks.

Jump is weaker in 7/8 vs 6 to begin with, are you sure you're not just experiencing 8's jump inside 6's map design?

Oooh, and that would be an easy fix too (as much as I like the idea of higher difficulty ratings being "play at your own risk", the difficulty is not dynamic - once you load a map, the monsters are set at whatever difficulty you loaded the map at)

I didn't know you could Town Portal to a town you hadn't yet visited. Must be a hireling perk.

Are you even aware of the fact that the axes inflict by far the highest damage of ALL weapons, especially two-hand versions? It will depend on chance to decapitate enemy, it should not be too high. In addition GM in axes is available only for two exotic classes, rangers and minotaurus, and I wouldn...

That's actually a vanilla restriction on Meteor Shower/Starburst. The spells are iffy at best if your targeted monster is outside of "Yellow" range.

I try to save that fly scroll for when I hit Blackshire, to be honest, but that doesn't work quite so cleanly in Merge since chest trap damage is applied instantly in the MM8 engine as opposed to MM6's "when the animation finishes"

Added to the Bug Tracker. Arguably not a bug as it's in the vanilla game and doesn't require mouselook either, just looking up and jumping while pressing space works. I have many things to say about how greedy the spacebar is in Merge.

Somehow, it's harder to exploit NWC Dungeon in the early game in Merge than in 6 rather than easier, in spite of the greedier spacebar. No more going there by accident.
