Scientists expect a continental bridge between Great Britain and Europe and promptly called it Doggerland. The part of this land probably remained till 5000 BC, when, they assume, it was finished with a great tsunami like wave.

How that they come to that idea? Well, tales. :P

Ever heard about the giants walking over the islands?

No, not only. There are many oil wells in that area and thanks to them they found many dead bodies. The concentration was so high that it was striking.

@Kalah
I like you like it. We are not on facebook though. :devious:

Of course, because otherwise it would have been too boring...

I have no idea what's written here. According the info: "The inscription is in latin and indicates that it was owned by woman."

Meaning, well, for signing letters. The 'likely' sapphire was removable, after short twist and you could imprint the ring in the wax.

Link to the source.

Image of the ring, without the gemstone.

Antartica was subtropical area. Yes, it was.

With palms and everything, just about 53 million years ago. You could go here as to very nice vacation resort. :)

How else was looking our world?

While it's nice to have concrete proof of this, it isn't really a shocker. We know that the continents have moved over the eons. There are coal mines on Spitsbergen, for instance. Where did the coal come from, if not plant material ...?
