That thing about graphic that guy wrote was right. It actually two sided sword. Would-be player might as soon get intimidated by graph requirement as being attracted.

Games are, above all, food for thoughts. Not eyes.

Well, eyecandy is good, too. But then a good art direction is more important than the graphical capabilities (Borderlands... Ewww :( ).

Indeed.

Somehow, I always consider the art in HoMM 2 to be the best in the whole series, regardless of graphical advantage of the later in the series.

That's because newer graphics have higher resolution. That's it. Most studios have decided the good art = realistic (whatever THAT means in a fantasy setting). There is something to be said for the cartoon-style of H1 and H2 (and to a lesser extent H3 and H4), but few people are willing to do that.

I'd love to see a high-res version for H2 graphics, personally, but it is very unlikely.

I don't know, i think they'd lose some of their charm without the pixels being visible... a faster UI is about the only thing H2 would need imo.

I can't see the pixels on your avatar. Does it mean that it loses its charm? I don't think so. The art style is what makes or breaks it, not the pixels.

I used the word "some" for a reason...

And yes it does, even if it's way less then i expected it would... H2 art is just that good i guess.
